Gateway Getaway Tour

Private Water & Land Tour

Escape the crowds and experience Ketchikan—the Gateway to Alaska—from both sea and rainforest on this private, small‑group adventure. Designed for 1–6 guests, the Gateway Getaway offers a quieter, more personal way to explore Southeast Alaska’s coastline, history, and wilderness.
Your journey begins on the water aboard a comfortable vessel as you cruise Ketchikan’s scenic coastline. From the sea, enjoy close‑up views of Totem Bight State Park, the historic Guard Island Lighthouse, and the calm, dramatic waters of Clover Pass, while learning about the region’s maritime history and Native heritage.
After your time on the water, the tour continues inland with a guided walk through the Tongass National Forest, the largest temperate rainforest in the world. Walk beneath towering spruce and cedar trees, learn about the rainforest ecosystem, and take in the quiet beauty that defines Southeast Alaska. Wildlife is sometimes seen along the way, but sightings are occasional and not guaranteed.
With flexible pacing and passionate guides, this tour focuses on quality over quantity—giving you time to slow down, explore, and truly connect with Alaska’s landscape. The experience concludes with a comfortable return to downtown Ketchikan or your cruise ship.
